November 2024 - Jo-Ann becomes an AKC Silver Breeder of Merit.

The AKC Silver Breeder of Merit program requires:

• 25 Icelandic Sheepdogs I have bred to have earned AKC titles, 15 of them must be Champions.
• That all parents are health tested.
• That all puppies we produce are permanently AKC registered.

I am very happy to say that all of the required 25 carry the Fox Meadow prefix, were born in our home, and were owner handled.

Thank you to our amazing Fox Meadow Family for helping me to achieve this recognition and for being just incredible owners of our spirited pups, I'm so proud of all the Fox Meadow Teams out there.

Many thanks to all the friends who have helped us and our Fox Meadow Family along the way. Many thanks to all my of my breeders andco-breeders for having faith in us.

October 2019 Storm appears on Fox NewsChannel 5 in NYC with the AKC Puppy Pack.

July 2019 Fox Meadow Stormasom Nott "Storm" becomes part of the AKC puppy pack 2.0 representing the herding group - the AKC will follow Storm's first year of life via social media.

2017 Fox Meadow Snjoflod by Runestone earns his AKC Championship Junior owner handled by co-owner Ava Hess.

February 2016 Runestone Gammur is awarded Best American Bred and Winners Dog at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

February 2016 - As part of Westminster Week - Jo-Ann reached out to Discovery Times Square and arranged for the Icelandic Sheepdog to be part of their "VIKINGS" exhibit.

July 2015 Jo-Ann brings Nordic Gold Araedinn Vallari to the USA from Germany.April 19, 2015 Iseyjar Mjoll finishes her AKC Championship with a four point major under judge Bill R. W. Edwards at the Baltimore County Kennel Club Thordunu Leppatuska "Elsie" goes Select for 2 points Grand Champion points. CH. Fox Meadow Astros Blomalfur entered in the open class goes Reserve winners bitch and Elsie's Grandson, Runestone Gammur at his first show since he was a puppy goes Best Open Dog, Winners Dog and Best of Breed for a 4 point major! Feb 14th Ch. Isi Kaffisukkolathi and I spend Valentines day together and he becomes the breeds 1st Best of Opposite Sex at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog show. The most prestigious canine event of the year. We had the BEST time together there.

Kaffi, in 2010 is the USA's #3 Icelandic Sheepdog, the #1 male in the AKC .

******This honor was achieved with a very limited showing. Kaffi in 2010 was the ONLY Icelandic Sheepdog to earn his Championship from Best of Breed Major Wins. Kaffi earned competition points at only 6 shows in 2010.

*** Fox Meadow Jolasveinn the #3 Icelandic Sheepdog in the UKC, attending only 2 shows, Isi Kaffisukkolathi ranked #4 after attending 1 show. Isdalur's Carrie is also ranked #4 , Thordunu Leppatuska is ranked #9 . Fox Meadow Hausti Solstafir is also ranked #9.

October 9, 2010 At the Training Club of Harrisburg under judge Robert Bennet Fox Meadow Hausti Solstafir was awarded Best of Breed and UKC Herding Group 1

October 7, 2010 at the prestigious Morris & Essex KC show, Isi Kaffisukkolathi was awarded Best of Breed by AKC judge Helen Lee James, Fox Meadow Hausti Solstafir was awarded best 9 -12 month puppy. Jo-Ann also showed a Chinook bitch, Forever Greene Talis to Best of Breed for breeder/owner Patti Richards. The Chinook has just entered the AKC MISC. Class. The Morris and Essex show only happens once every 5 years and this was the M & E debut for both the Icelandic Sheepdog and the Chinook. Jo-Ann showed both new breeds to their first Morris and Essex to Best of Breed wins.

October 3, 2011 Fox Meadow Hausta Tindra Hela was awarded Reserve Bitch by AKC judge Sheila Polk at the Monroe Kennel club in Monroe, MI.

Oct 2, 2010 UKC Show Millbrooke, NJ. Show -1 Fox Meadow Hausti Solstafir was awarded Best of Breed, and a Group 2 under UKC Judge Linda Reese. This Group 2 placement finished Solstafir and he became a UKC Conformation Champion. Show 2 - under Judge Mary Happel was awarded Best of Breed and a Herding Group 1

July 2, 2010 Isi Kaffisukkolathi becomes the very winners dog and first Best of Breed Icelandic Sheepdog as a fully accepted breed in the AKC. Isdalur's Carrie becomes the first Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex each taking the very first 4 point majors. Fox Meadow Jolasveinn and Fox Meadow Hausta Tindra Hela become AKC's first Reserve Dog and Reserve Bitch under judge Walter J. Sommerfelt at the Southern Maryland Kennel Club's Maryland Blue Crab Cluster Fox Meadow Hausti Solstafir was also awarded Best 6 -9 month puppy by judge Sommerfelt.

Excellent ears and eyes. Excellent neck, topline and underline. Excellent front and rear. Good natured. Judge Pizzorno has been the Breeder of Collies and Old English Sheepdogs since childhood as a family enterprise. Currently a breeder of Siberian Huskies . He has been the Secretary, Vice-President and President of the KCU (Uruguayan Kennel Club). At the moment Vice-President of the Board of Directors. Former Executive Secretary of Sicalam (South American Society of Kennel Clubs). Former Secretary and President of the Judges Committee. Delegate of the Uruguayan Kennel Club to many FCI and Sicalam General Assemblies in several Countries. First FCI Breed license in 1970 and All Breeds FCI license in 1983 having judged as All Round or as a Specialised Judge in over 16 different countries. Coordinator and permanent member of the examination boards for prospective Judges

May 16, 2010 Fox Meadow Hausti Solstafir is judged Best of Breed under judge Earl Acker at the UKC Oldline Stat United Dog Club earning his first major. Isdalur's Carrie was winners Bitch.

May 15, 2010 Isdalur's Carrie went Best Bitch, Best of breed, Best of winners and placed fourth in Herding group at the Oldline State United Dog Club's UKC show and became a new UKC Champion. At his very first conformation competition, Fox Meadow Hausti Solstafir placed Best Male under judge Mary Happel in show one. Show two under judge David Kittredge Isdalur's Carrie was awarded Best Bitch, Best of breed and Best of Winners, Fox Meadow Hausti Solstafir was awarded Best Male.

Gilbert, Jr. at the AKC's Blue and Gray Cluster show hosted by the Harrisburg Kennel Club in Harrisburg, PA..Jolasveinn is the #2 Icelandic Sheepdog in the United Kennel Club for 2009, Thordunu Leppatuska is ranked 9th in the UKC's top ten. August 22, 2009 Atlantshaf Icelandic Sheepdog Chapter's 3rd Annual Gathering Woodbine, MD, a regional chapter of the Icelandic Sheepdog Association of America. Isi Kaffisukkolathi Best Male, Best of Breed under Herding group/Miscellaneous Class judge Jay Hyman. This is Kaffi's second consecutive Best of Breed placement at this event in a competition of 28 dogs. Runestone Truffle ( Kaffi's daughter) places first in the agility fun match, Runestone Kyssa ( Fox Meadow Jolasveinn's daughter) places 4th in the agility fun match.

June 7, 2009, Fox Meadow Jolasveinn, Viking Hippi and Thordunu Leppatuska participate in Critters for a Cure Walk-A-Thon and raise $475.00 for the Charity. Critters for a Cure, is a charity which helps Breast Cancer Patients in the Washington DC area with medical expenses, 7% of all monies donated goes to local animal shelters to help shelter and rehabilitate abused and abandoned pets.
